Former Jubo League Dhaka South unit President Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat was taken to Keraniganj central jail after his discharge from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD).

Jailer of Dhaka Central Jail Mahbubul Islam said Samrat was discharged from the hospital in the morning today (Saturday) and later he was shifted to the central jail in Keraniganj.

Samrat was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on October 8 as he complained of chest pain. Later, he was taken to NICVD.

A medical board headed by the director was formed for his treatment.

According to NICVD doctors, Samrat underwent a heart valve replacement surgery around 15 years ago.
